Duo Palatino is an exciting and fiery Mezzo-soprano and Classical Guitar duo. They perform diverse programmes of Baroque, Classical, Popular, Jazz and Spanish pieces, and are available for public recitals and concerts. Duo Palatino also provides bespoke entertainment for weddings, parties, functions and corporate events in and around England.
Sophie Kidwell and David Cotter met whilst studying Music at Durham University, and realised through performance that voice and guitar is one of the finest collaborations in music. The name Duo Palatino was born from the deep purple university colour, palatinate. Sophie (Mezzo-soprano) is studying singing at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover, Germany and performs with Duo Palatino in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. David (Classical Guitarist) is studying for a Masters in Music Performance at Cambridge University, and is able to arrange songs for your special occasion.
